While I really enjoyed this, *because* it was reminiscent for me of grubby-looking Futuristic action movies (e.g. The Fifth Element, Pacific Rim), I could see how, like many creator-owned Image titles coming out lately (there's been a flood), this might seems like yet another "nothing new" series. I'll have to see where it goes.
I loved the cinematic wordless opening, which alternated the main character Rain in a chase/action scene and playing cello. I'm a fan of the art, which is reminiscent to me of a cross between Karl Moline (penciled Fray) and Sean Murphy (American Vampire, The Wake).
