Dragon Revealed is the first book in the Dragon Kings series but it is also a spin-off of the Dark Kings series.

I have read most of Donna Grant's books in the past few years and I get very excited every time I hear that she has a new book coming out so of course I needed to get my hands on this one right away.

This book is short but it still very good. The story doesn't feel rushed at all and like all of Donna's books, I just couldn't put the book down.

I do recommend this one.

I can never have enough of these dragons. Varek, and Jayra, the story continues after the Dark Kings series ended. Jayra hates and is terrified of dragons, but nothing she knows is exactly what it seems after interrogating Varek. You will enjoy every page and I definitely love that the author wrote these novellas. All the incredible world-building, characters, and storylines are definitely a must-read for any Dragon PNR lover.

Dragon Revealed is our jump off from Dark Kings into Donna Grant's new series Dragon Kings. I was so excited that we were taking a Dragon King and putting him out on a different realm. Having the whole world setup for us yet keeping that connection by bringing Varek, the Lichen Dragon King, into the story made for a great transition into the new series.

Jeyra is a great warrior who has been lied to all her life. She goes against the rules to catch herself a Dragon King who she believes killed her whole family. However, now that she has her Dragon King, the council decides to have her question the King. During the days that follow, Jeyra slowly comes to many revelations about herself, and her whole life while she comes to trust this person she feared and hated.

Dragon Revealed has many series starters. Little tidbits that give us a look into what the new series will be based on. I loved Dragon Revealed. The love story, the world and all that is to come. Bring on the Dragon Kings!

Dragon Revealed was not what I expected…it was much more –a newcomer to Donna’s books and trying to catch up on the series – this book was excellent and worked well as a stand-alone. Grant’s new world development is always detailed and well-built drawing the reader into a place where they might want to stay for a while. The main characters Jerya and Varek, Dragon King of the Lichen, were as colorful and intense as a dragon’s scales glinting in the bright sun. This novella had everything, suspense, drama, and an intense love story as only Donna Grant can tell – this reader can only say that they were sorry when it ended and left wanting more, but also given a glimpse that allows one to look forward to more from Jerya and Varek, as well as the other Dragon Kings – especially the King of the Dragon Kings!

Series: Dragon Kings #1
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

When Varek, King of the Lichens, is kidnapped and taken to another realm he knows he is in trouble, especially since there isn’t any magic. While imprisoned he meets Jeyra, who has hated dragons since she was a child. She is there to interrogate him for information but with each day that passes her hate fades.

First, you should know that this is a new series set in the Dark World universe but it is also a continuation of the Dark Kings series. So if you haven’t read the Dark Kings series you might be a little confused by some of the characters and story.

Varek is one of the last unmated Dragon Kings. While exploring the world with his friend he was kidnapped and taken to another realm. Varek is an alpha male who appreciates a strong woman. Jeyra is a warrior who has never really questioned the reasoning behind certain things in her town. But when Varek starts asking questions she can't answer it makes her more determined to find the truth. Both of these characters grew on me as the book progressed.

I am very interested in seeing this new world where the dragons have been living. Also, I can’t wait until we learn more about the Twins, which seems like we might learn more in the next book. The Dragon Kings are so close to be reunited with their dragons! I can’t wait!

A new spin-off world of the fabby Dark Kings to get rid of the COVID blues!

Jeyra managed to do the unthinkable, she secured a Dragon King. Okay, she may have gone out of bounds and approached her problem sideways. But a result is a result! She has now been given the task of getting as much information from him as she can, using "any" means necessary.

Varek was on vacation one minute and zapped through a portal the next. But is he really in the dimension where the Kings sent their dragons or some other parallel world? He realises quickly that Jeyra has revenge in mind for what has happened to her family but can he get her to see that he wasn't to blame for the tragedy.

Varek is going to have to rely on just his wits until he can somehow restore his powers and get back to Earth and his fellow kings. But when the time comes, will he be able to leave the alluring Jeyra behind?

Duplicitous politicians are in every dimension it would seem! Add in some unexpected allies, hidden enemies, and the burgeoning romance between slayer and Dragon! Great way to expand the series nd fill in some gaps and there might just be a glimpse of some twins!

What a wonderful progression for this world that Donna Grant created. Dragon Revealed is the first book in this new series, a spinoff from DG's highly successful Dark Kings series.

Here we have a new realm to explore and to lead us in to this new world is Varek, the Dragon King of Lichens who found himself somehow trapped in this new realm being stripped of his magincal powers. Jeyra is from this realm and she was being brought up to be afraid of the Dragons, she kidnapped Varek and was forced to interrogate him. This is a story of enemies to lovers, quite a slowburn but I enjoyed every page that I read.

Thank you for the advance copy, I look forward to explore more of this new world.

Dragon Revealed was thrilling, sensual, and filled with plot twists–something I’ve come to crave from Donna Grant’s novels–and immediately snared my attention.

What a fun time I had reading this 1001 Dark Nights novella. It was great to be back in the Dragon Kings (aka: Dark King) world in this spin-off that had lots of action and even intrigue in amongst the smoking hot attraction between Jeyra and Varek. Donna Grant knows just how to spin a tale that always keeps me engaged. And in this case, boy didn’t she stack the odds against our two main characters... Read More
