An enjoyable (for those who find body horror enjoyable) set of connected tales. Could have used another round of proofreading. Or maybe the merging of two different versions of some sentences is deliberate, form mirroring content? Nonetheless, I would recommend it.

There’s a list of content warnings at the end of the book, if you need them. It leaves out “landlords.”

3.5 stars, rounded up. This was a fun, quick read that totally satisfied my burgeoning love of body horror. While it harkens back to The Thing and The Blob, it was still distinct, a new take. My biggest complaint is that there were a LOT of typos. Blame for that lies more on the editor, than author, though. Still, it was distracting and made this seem less professionally written.
