Reading this book as preparation for teaching it to Y6 pupils. I loved it, so many complex themes for exploration; war, ownership, animal rights.....

Great book, it’s a tear jerker. I also loved the movie and the live production

I came to this not realising that it was a children's book, nor that it was told from the point of view of the horse. Having read I it I will only say that I was moved to tears in places and look forward to seeing what the film-makers have done with it

Super quick book - it only took me a few hours to read. Definitely some rough subject material and I just had a hard time feeling good by the end of the book.
