I might have rated this 4 stars but the second half (the part that is the second book on wattpad) dragged down the rating a bit. I enjoyed Adeleide in Ozghard more than Adeleide Over the Bridge.

The first book was a clever mashup of The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. It was fun to travel through the story going "Oh! That's how he's translating the companions from Wizard of Oz" or "I see how that ties the stories together!". It was all around unique and fun, though perhaps a bit anticlimactic. I really liked the plot twist at the end, I didn't see it coming at all yet it made perfect sense.

The second book (excuse me, the second half, I guess) had a different feel. It was a little more political, a little more grownup, a little less clever and fun. The moving pieces of the plot were harder to keep track of now that we were following more characters in completely different places. I will point out, however, that I was reading it as a few updates every couple of weeks, which can account for why it was harder to follow than a book that you read all at once. Regardless of all that, I did enjoy the ending, the middle just felt messy to me.

In conclusion: the momentum from the first half didn't keep up, but a smart and unique book.
