I will never get tired of Pride and Prejudice, if I had a more focused mind I probably would have read through it a lot faster than it took me here.

I thought this book was very good, it took me a while to get through it because I read too many books at the same time but I really thought it was splendid. Jane Austen is amazing, she was a very talented author and she had a good understanding of life and love, pride and prejudice... I loved the characters, all in different ways. This I one of those books you have to read. Thanks to my sister that made me read it first. Just because I love the beginning;
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters."

Trying to catch up on some classics this year. I’ve never read Jane Austen and tbh it didn’t grab me. This might be the earliest book I’ve read that originated in English and the language was just too much. I even listened to it on audible and found it hard to follow and honestly, boring. If I’m going to read 19th century literature, I’d much prefer Little Women or something more accessible.

3/5 stars. A big ol’ yawn.
