What was the point of this book? Honestly,  what was the point of that ending? Because if this was supposed to be a critique on social media and the dangers of mommy bloggers why the hell would the author attempt to make us sympathize after everything we witnessed? Is that a commentary on how bad guys win? If so even that failed spectacularly.

I’m so mad that I wasted my time but even more mad that this has the bones of a great story but absolutely fumbled everything else

While I loved the idea of a thriller that focused on social media, the author handles heartbreaking topics involving child loss in a way that is flippant at best and callous at worst.

I really enjoyed learning about being a mega-Instagrammer, as well as the differences between what we like in the USA vs. the UK.  The ending was super creepy but worked.

I read this book in a day, once I picked it up I just couldn't put it down without finding out how it ended.

This book gives an uncomfortable look at social media influences and commentary on society's obsession with how things look and how much of what is put online is believed.

Following 3 characters - the influencer Emmy, her husband Dan and the unknown character who blames Emmy for their tragedy. We see how Emmy's obsession with posting online puts her and her family at increasing risk of actual harm.

I found the writing and story intense, compelling and uncomfortable in equal measure. This is definitely a couldn't put it down read.

This book comes with a lot of triggers so please look them up before picking up this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
