I think that this is a great read for any woman as we can always learn something about ourselves. However I think insecure women and women who fall victim to the misconception of what society thinks is the correct way to “catch a man” could really benefit from this. I see so many women (friends included) who feel like they have to lose their identity to catch and keep a man and while that may work for some, it doesn’t work for the majority. I think reading testimonials from a man’s perspective is the best aspect of book and could really drive home the point for some women and possible open their eyes. So put down your cosmo magazines and “how to catch a man” article down and pick this up. You don’t even have to buy it. My library had the book.

FYI: the word “bitches” in the title and mentioned throughout the book (which you’d find out when you read it), is not referenced in a derogatory way in any sense.

I read about this book in a post online and was curious about the advice, and some of it really was helpful. It boils down to knowing your own worth, and being able to remain calm and not get your buttons pushed. The examples were relatable and helpful, and explained some behaviors (for both of us). Some was actually pretty helpful for me, though I'm already married and clearly not dating. I feel like this book does need to be re-written with more current attitudes to be really helpful, there are jokes about men being gay if the men don't like stereotypical things, and definitely falls into some pretty gendered stereotypes that aren't as set in stone as people used to think. So helpful, but could use some updating.

4/5 ⭐️ - this is a book on dating, which to me simply spreads the message of how to cultivate yourself into an independent woman. the core message of the book is to be able to be on your own and able to walk away if you don’t get what you want in a relationship. the advice is solid and i think a lot of women would benefit from it. the only reason this is 4 stars is because i feel like it repeats a lot of what was said in the first book.
