I gave this a 3.5 because this book had me really wanting to continue in parts, than parts i wanted to dnf. The story is okay and easy to read. But I'm starting to get annoyed with the main character. Maybe she will get better by book 3. The end of book 2 gave me hopes to continue. Lol. I really like the concept of the book. Magic and alien races all in one!! Super cool! So I'll finish series.

At first, it was a little better than the first book but it went downhill. Everything feels one-dimensional and I don't care about any of it or any of the characters. I even dislike most of them and found myself rooting against them. Can't be bothered to continue with book 3.

My friend gifted the first book to me and I enjoyed it very much. Since the next 2 are available on Kindle Unlimited, I felt like it was a good time to read them.
