The character development through the series has endeared me to the FMC, although there are still times her decisions make me want to facepalm.

I have been listening to this whole series on audiobook and the narration is decent but there are times that I do find I don't enjoy it as much as others. The storyline moves along at quite a fast pace and there is plenty of action. The stakes in this one have definitely increased and I am keen to find out how this will end. I really enjoy the found family trope that seems to be in all of Annette's book and this one has been no exception. The urban fantasy meets dystopian vibes of this series has been intriguing. The romance has been a slow burn but I enjoy the dynamics between the MMC and FMC.

THIS SERIES IS SO GOOD HOW IS IT NOT MORE POPULAR EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THESE

THIS is what YA should be like. A female MC who knows and understands her limits...a love interest that has good intentions but still does shitty things...lots of moral grey areas that the characters recognize and understand because guess what? Life itself has lots of grey areas. It's not all black and white and nice and neat. It's messy and unfair and uncertain. For a paranormal, this is one of the most realistic series I have ever read. FINALLY!!

Absolutely loved this book. Thank god Piper got over the self sacrifice thoughts and finally embraced the starting of possibly a great relationship with Ash.
With the world in chaos, Ras, Hades and Gaines attacking each other and consul/prefects Piper seems to be the only logical one with a obvious understanding of the deamon world and how to move through it. Looking forward to next book. These just get better and better. Thought I would deluxe them because I rarely read teen/adult fiction books anymore because I like adult relationship and sexy action but so far the writer has satisfied but romantic side even though it not overly displayed and hopefully in that book I get my HEA I always like.

This was a good book, just not a great book. I enjoyed reading it, as I am incredibly invested in Piper & Ash. However, some of the plot continues to be predictable and repetitive. Overall, a good read but likely wouldn’t re-read.

I really do love this series, the only reason I'm not consistently giving it 5* is that the detailed descriptions of fighting are sometimes a bit too much.

This is looking up to be one of my favorite series. The one thing that I keep having problems with is Piper. She's not as kickass as I would like, but at least she knows she's not. She's not a special snowflake. I mean yeah, she can yield the Sahar, but she's not an especially good combat fighter or anything else, and that's what makes the series good. I don't find myself rolling my eyes as I do when a character shows exceptionally great skills at everything despite having only done it for the first time.

And of course, I love Ash. I love the little stolen moments between him and Piper. There aren't as many as I would like, but I'll take what I can get.

This one was better.

I think shes stopped being so much of a victim and shes fighting for herself more than letting Ash save her there is still some of that going on but not as much as before.

I really cannot wait for the next book this series is just so quick to read and so very good.
