I liked Death of a Salesman when I read it in high school, and I really liked All My Sons when I read it on my own. It's clear Arthur Miller has the technical skills to produce high-quality literary and staged work. But does he have the basic decency and self-awareness to not portray his popularly beloved ex-wife as anything other than a stupid, flighty whore who caused her own addictions and end, barely two years after her tragic early death? No, he does not. Quentin is a self-obsessed, misogynistic asshole who doesn't know when to shut up and I honestly don't feel much better about Arthur Miller himself after reading this. And, in case this isn't obvious, Quentin's failed marriages (the marriages he wrecked) are not in any way comparable to the fucking Holocaust.
