I read most of this book for a class I took this semester for my Writing & Rhetoric Studies major: Intro to Rhetoric. I figure I can count the book as read even having skipped over a few chapters.

Interesting in some regards, Killingsworth's text tries to make rhetoric relatable to a modern audience, one that has a hard time caring too terribly much about (sexist, racist) dead old white guys from Ancient Greece. I'd argue he mostly succeeds. He even brings in disability, race, and feminist rhetorics, often in radically respectful ways--though he does occasionally fall short (particularly in the disability rhetorics section).

Not a bad read.
