Now this was one hell of a murder enquiry a mean I didn't even know at all that the shellfish could do that to a corpse am sorry I just didn't have them put down as omnivores at all.
A mean I honestly thought hamish wasn't going to be bale to solve this murder with everything that was going on with him, the love Hook up, Blair being ass, being in another place that wasn't his home, but all in all his loyal dog companion was with him throughout it all, helping him find his first clue on one of their walks.
And to top it off the whole murder investigation once it was thoroughly completed the actual woman he truly loved came to save him to take him back to his one true home.
Again I do recommend hamish macbeths murder mystery books as each one is so different including the way the murder victim is killed and found as well.

#3in the series and my favourite so far. I polished this off in nearly one sitting, as a passenger on a car drive, coming home from hols.
Unusual murder styles, sarcastic humour and a lovely setting. What is not to like?
Hamish Macbeth is really growing on me and I am definitely continuing with this series.

Constable Hamish Macbeth has been transferred against his will to the lonely village of Cnothar in the Scottish Highlands. He's homesick for his village of Lochdubh and contending with a detective chief inspector who would love nothing more than to have Hamish off the police force. Then the most hated man in town is murdered and his body dumped into a lobster tank where it is discovered when there are only bones remaining. Hamish becomes the second most hated man in Cnothar as he works to solve the murder.
