I enjoyed this story and the conspiracy theories behind it much more so than some of the previous Cotton Malone books. The plot does seem a bit over engineered, and I don’t like the cause and effect of events and characters’ actions. Also, the author’s habit of having half-sentence paragraphs bugs me too.

Like always Steve Berry takes me history with a twist; ever keeping me involved within his stories. This one, being an early view of Cotton Malone, kept me on the usual rollercoaster which doesn’t allow me to put the book down. Gotta get the next... have all of Steve’s books... got behind on purchasing so got to get the next one before his new one comes out.

Audiobook: liked the pace/ character voice, easy to listen to.

Written different then the rest of the series, but still loved the book. Took you back to the first time Cotton met Stephanie. Nice thing about this one is you don't need to read the other 12 books prior to this book.

I have yesterday to read a Cotton Malone novel I didn't like. This one was very cool in that it was told from his perspective all the way through. As a history guy, I love how Steve Berry works historical things into his work. Good stuff!!!

Having read the description, I was not interested in this. But, the author had notes sprinkled into the audio book, and that combined with the story kept me very interested. I didn't know just how much the FBI was working against Dr King. Well worth the read/listen.
