i may have finished this a tad too fast but i loved it, her books get better with every new one it’s hard not to fall in love with her characters. second chance romance can be done wrong in many ways but you can always count on miss henry to do something right. i truly loved this and i loved these people. and i’m not good at reviews which is why i do not do them but, emily henry and her blessed pen deserves one.

Beach Read will always be my favorite comfort read, I really think this is THE best Emily has ever written.

It’s devastatingly realistic. You will feel like you’re Harriet. Like you’re Wyn. Like you’re a part of their friend group, even when it’s perfect and it hurts. There are so many parts where I feel like EH knows me, a complete stranger somewhere in the world, and there are some parts where I feel like she knows everyone a little.

I really don't cry at fiction. It just doesn't happen. I get sad, sure. Ragey. The oh-my-god-when-i-open-this-back-up-i-better-not-have-read-what-i-think-i-just-read. But not tears. I cried five times at work.

FIVE, EMILY!!!

This book is devastating, but it's hopeful too. I hope you never stop releasing books. I love each and every one for wildly different reasons.

How on earth did this win Good reads best romance of 2023?! What a cringy cheesy annoying story. Audiobook made me hate it more with the whiny voices. The premise was interesting which is why I decided to start it on Spotify. Even at 1.8 listening speed this was too damn long to get through, too long with many unnecessary pages and the characters act like teenagers.
