I’ve adored Plath for well over ten years, and these letters provide so much context to some of her work. Sylvia’s sheer honesty in these letters is to be admired. It is of tragic proportions that her life could go from gold to copper in such a short amount of time.

I feel you can’t give stars to someone’s personal correspondence - it was a bit of a rollercoaster. As I assume her life was.

These letters are such a powerful way to gain an insight into the life of Sylvia Plath. Her voice remains strong to this day and it is so sad that it was lost to us so abruptly. I will miss hearing from her after spending time with her for most days over a period of two months reading this book.

"Now the babies are crying and I must take them to tea."

I cannot possibly review this, it was just too wonderful and unbearably sad. All I can say is that I am so sorry this infuriating, deep, kind, strong, curious, loving person had to go so soon, and so sadly.
