God, you just gotta love Jessica Darling. I actually like this book better than the first and really loved that Marcus was present for most of it. Again, great voice, great characterization, nice twists here and there that fit with the dramedy of high school. McCafferty is a gifted story teller when it comes to YA.

Being inside this girl's head makes me crazy. In a fun, frustrating, under-sexed kind of way. Oh, Jessica. Oh, Marcus. Oh, gay man of Jessica's dreams, Paul Parlipiano. At times, the angst was a little much, and started to grate, and at times I wanted to strangle her for how clueless she is when it comes to certain people *cough cough Marcus cough* Also, is it weird that I'm jealous of a fictional character because she scored higher on the SATs than I did? No? Okay, good. Then in that case, I really enjoyed this book. I wish Marcus was real. At least his dreads are MIA in this book!
