4.5⭐️ This book was so so good!! Wow. I loved sloans character and lukes. Asa’s character was messed up although the trauma that he went through no wonder he’s crazy. I truly believe somewhere deep inside him he loved sloan although I of course think the best guy for her was Luke. He risked his life, career everything for her multiple times. Such an honest, amazing character!
The plot was amazing, it’s not something i would usually read but wow i loved it! The timeline was good it wasn’t too fast or slow.
I think this might be one of my favourite Colleen Hoover books that i’ve read!

Sloan has had a rough life growing up and raised her brother who has Asperger’s. She goes off to college and falls for a charming guy, Asa, who says all the right things. Come to find out he is a big drug dealer. She wants to leave, but without him she has nothing. No home, no car, no money, and he pays for her brother’s care. So she sticks it out and takes his abuse.

Well that all changes when she meets Carter in Spanish class. She automatically is attracted to him and feels guilty. Then come to find out, he is now working for her boyfriend. But for some reason they can’t stay away from each other. What she doesn’t know, Carter is really Luke, DEA working undercover.

I could not put this book down! Colleen Hoover knocked it out of the park!

Book was okay, dragged on a bit. Was basically 400 pages long and it could have ended sooner. The ending was poor, I could have done with knowing the paternity test results. I liked the Asa scenes and felt that Luke/carter was boring. It dragged, but was an okay read. Took longer than most Coho books did. Sloan was also a plain Jane boring gal and wasn’t relatable.

Definitely different than her other books, but I finished this SO quick. I found myself scoffing at the characters, kind of like how I did when reading 'Verity' or 'Layla' at the AUDACITY. Overall, I enjoyed the story and was glad it ended how it did, but WOW was that a wild ride. 3.75 stars.
