John Doe made his escape to Canada but it seems his demons have found him. They assault his landlady and John finds that he and Mack have made a kill list of a shared enemy.

John is finally revealed as Jonathan Quinn, former undercover agent and now a kind of modern day Robin Hood. Only he keeps the money but never hurts anyone during his robberies and he only robs from those who can afford it or deserve it.

Mack still simmers in anger at the way she was duped by her ex boss. She never thought of herself as an "other woman" and she can't believe she actually thought she was in love with him. Bu when John turns up and informs her that they are both now targets, he has to work hard not to get dead when Mack's Black Starr boss and colleagues want to go badass on him. Stormy even unleashes some of his information gathering techniques. But if John doesn't want you to know something, you are not finding out.

With a plan finally in motion to take down the bad guy, John and Mack finally give in to the attraction they feel. But they aren't exactly alone when it happens, LOL.

Great ending to the series but I really wanted a bit more. I think I was just a wee bit underwhelmed and wanted a bit more, greedy girl that I am! John and Mack where an intriguing couple and I have thoroughly enjoyed all the books in the series. Quite sad to see them go if I'm honest.
