I loved this book. I wish there was a little more reminder of who the supporting characters were because it's been a long time since I read book 1. I love Janie as a heroine and Quinn is just as irresistible. The book is smart, it addresses practical issues of relationships and marriage, it tackles family problems and it has fun.
Could have done without the "slamp" which just seems like she doesn't want the guilt of saying slut outright.

I enjoyed this one, it had parts with all the characters I love. I do think it was a little long with scenes that didn’t always add a lot to the story, but it was a great way to meet new characters and see old ones.

I confess I typically find the add on wedding books superfluous and tedious. So I’d skipped this one. I’m on my 4th read through of the series, the second since book 7 came out, and there were enough references that I paused reading book 7 to come back and read it. Now I’m totally kicking myself.

First off, this is not a novella it’s a full book. Secondly, it’s fabulous! Thirdly, I’m feeling like an idiot for not trusting the creative genius of Penny Reid. Ah well. Lesson learned! So yes this is a great read for after book one or even before book 7

STOP THIS BOOK HAD NO RIGHT BEING SO GOOD AFTER THE FIRST ONE BEING SO MEDIOCRE!
I read the first book and was honestly not really a fan. However, I got free audios and have a real long ride to school every other day. I finally picked up the second book and I am so glad I did! This book was incredible in comparison to the first book. The character growth was exactly what was needed out of this duo. Having Quinn's POV helped this couple become not only more enjoyable but gave such a better view of Quinn cause let's be honest, Janie was blinded by him in the first book. Janie grew so much as a character in this book but so did Quinn and his family too! I just loved it so much. The only reason for reducing it half a star is because there were some parts that screamed taking advantage of or toxic character and plot.

okay first of all I have to know the in Goodreads this is listed as 1.5 in the series. When I see 1.5 I assume that it's a novella. a small story to finish the concept of Story number one. This is not the case with this book. It is a full-length book and actually I would like to possibly say that it might be a tad too long. yet I highly enjoyed the writing. I highly enjoyed the story. I enjoyed the characters. In fact most of this story was based on the two main characters yet it had many hints to additional books in the series based on all the characters in the book. it happens to a relationship with her best friend and also hints to relationships of his best friends. this is just a really fun book I would recommend it to anyone. it's about the couple and how they deal with the wedding and how the wedding goes and it goes well and it ends well.

Audiobook, dnf

I loved the 1st book...I'm not sure why, but this one annoyed me. Maybe because I thought Janie was over her self doubt? (I didn't want to hear about it anymore.) Maybe because Quinn was more bossy? Idk- just wasn't working for me.

This is the one "in-between" book of the series I could have done without. I know Janie and Quinn are fan favorites and we sort of need to see their wedding for future books but I would have been fine with it being a short retelling. Stephen was the saving grace of this book.
The Knitting in the City Series is a fun romance series revolving around a group of distinctly different friends who meet because they are all (well almost all) into knitting.
