Book 2 of the Alaskan Security - Team Rogue series brings on a new couple and continues the mystery that began in Loss Recovery. Fair warning, this book does end on a cliffhanger but the next book is readily available so you don't have to hold your breath waiting!

Brock and Eva are possibly one of my favorite Alaskan Security couples so far! The banter between these two is hysterical and the way their relationship evolves made this story really fun to read! I loved how Eva fought Brock every step of the way until she realized how big of a threat she was under and how Brock tried to deny his feelings. I loved when Eva realized her feelings for Brock were changing.Of course, you also have the other Alaskan Security team members such as Dutch and Harlow, who are the subject of Jemma's next book in this series, Enemy Territory, and the cliffhanger sets up their story quite nicely!

This book was better than the last in the series but I still feel like this author needs to increase the description in her books and dive deeper in character development. It did have a cliff hanger in the end but I wasn’t mad about it. I will read the next book because it’s KU so why not? But hopefully it won’t dwell so much on the fact that these men kill people, we get it already “bad people do bad shit and don’t deserve to live”. I like the hero in this book, the heroine was kooky but again she was undeveloped. And is this series going to be that every client is a damsel in distress that the team then hires because they have a particular set of skills? Skills that we are unclear on except that the fact that they have vaginas means they think differently... I can’t tell if this author is trying too hard or not trying hard enough. But anyway it was a quick read with action and some humorous moments, a snack but not a full meal.

Another good one!

I enjoyed this book a lot. I especially loved the plot twists. I prefer it when things are a bit convoluted. Looking forward to the next book.
