I haven't known Randall long, but my girl Rhea rocks and deserves the best the world has to offer.
This book was very short, shorter than I would've liked, but well written enough to enjoy every page.
I especially loved seeing Randall become a father figure for Melaina, though I missed Arkon and Jax and their wonderful females.
Either way, I'm still hungry for love with this two and can't wait to see them again and explore more of their relationship in the next books.

A very sweet short with a different perspective than we usually see in these books, featuring human male Randall and Kraken female Rhea. It takes most of this story for these two to finally join, but the world building that happens helps set up for future installments. Things are getting tense in The Facility; it's only a matter of time before it spills into violence. (It seems it was one thing to allow human females into the Facility as mates to some of the more eccentric members of the group, but it doesn't sit well when one of the rare female Kraken decides to claim a human male as her mate and removes herself as an option to the male Kraken. Things start to escalate and quickly.)

I usually dislike children as written in SFR and related genres, but Melaina was a welcome addition to the story and worked well in it. She was not obnoxious but flowed well in the story line, and the addition of a pet also welcome. They make such a cute family; I can not wait to see what future installments have in store for them.

by the end of book 2, i was wanting dracchus’s book SO BAD that i almost skipped this but CHILE- i am glad i, in fact, did not do that. i honestly liked randall in book 2 and i LOVE seeing an alien / monster fmc w/ a human mmc. it’s not done enough but i absolutely love it. rhea & randall were so cute & perfect for each other. also the pet??? obsessed. i can’t wait to read dracchus’s book next though!!!

Not the strongest in the Kraken series (I think the authors' full length novels allow for richer plot and character development) but there were still some good moments. I liked the Ikaros (pretty adorable) and, given that I've already read Dracchus and Kronus' stories, it was interesting seeing them again at this point in the story.
