That was pretty darn delightful.
Except for that last story, where Sherlock shot a dog. Ok, Arthur, calm down.

I really loved the short stories and enjoyed it more than the previous full-length books. It was easier to pick up and read, and more interesting as the chapters were kind of short, depending on the story. There are a few ones I would prefer if they were shorter, and the description of the stories was a bit long at times, but I really enjoyed the different stories and how they were written. From the situation, to the description of the situation, to Sherlock's questions, to going on adventures to pick up more data and to the deduction, and finally, to the solving the situation and coming to a conclusion.

And, what's more interesting is that you follow Holmes and Watson on different adventures, and you keep guessing about the crime. And, by the end of the book, you think like Sherlock Holmes and know/guess who did the crime, and/or who was at fault.

And what amused me was the ending. Not every story had a solution, and at times, the police or Scotland Yard didn't intervene and not necessarily, someone went to prison or what they deserved. But it was cathartic to the person requesting Holmes' help, even if it wasn't the solution we expected.

It was a really good book, and enjoyable to read!

This book included 12 adventures titled:
1. A Scandal in Bohemia
2. The Red-Headed League
3. A Case of Identity
4. The Boscombe Valley Mystery
5. The Five Orange Pips
6. The Man with the Twisted Lip
7. The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle
8. The Adventure of the Speckled Band
9. The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb
10. The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor
11. The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet
12. The Adventure of the Copper Beeches

I loved these. It was awesome to read the mystery to which Sherlock needed to solve and see his mannerisms. Then out of absolutely nothing it seemed he had solved it! I loved how the story included through Sherlock on how he solved cases. Noticing the little things was mostly how he did it and I found myself trying to use those same tricks as best I could from reading to figure things out. It was a fun and awesome read.

I don't really know the metric for a good mystery but I can't say that I wasn't entertained. It was very fun guessing along, and even more fun when I turned out to be right.

I love the way that he writes dialogue, the flow is so good that I feel like they're standing there talking in front of me!!

I'd recommend for anyone to read it but I'm not sure I'd read it again myself. Maybe a few of the stories
