Started off really well, loved the growing romance of grace and Matt and how their friendship became more, but the end lost me a bit and I felt myself rush to finish.

I read this in one sitting and that should be enough to convince you to read it. Idk what Carlino puts in her books but both times I have read one of her books I cannot put them down. I loved this book and was so invested in what was going on. I loved the dual timeline and the dual POVs, both added so much to the story. There is something about being able to go back in time to the beginning of a relationship or previous relationship that I just love to read about. It also adds so much more to the characters we are reading about, almost another layer? These characters felt so raw, real, raw, and flawed and I think that had me all the more invested in their journey in both timelines. This is the type of love story that makes you believe in fate. The type of love that nothing can come between, sure they may rock, but they are together for the long run. My only slight qualm was the pacing toward the end but maybe that’s just because I wanted more of the present! Regardless, read this book thank you.

Tropes/themes:
-dual timeline
-dual POV
-second chance
-friends to lovers
-slow burn

"It takes everything in me not to remind him that he's going to have to live the rest of his life knowing I've fucked his wife."

"Guess I'm never getting my shirt back." I looked at him smirking near the door.

"Well, isn´t there a word word for friend that mess around?"
"Yeah, it's called girlfriend and boyfriend."

"You can´t re - create the first time you promise to love someone or the first time you feel loved by another."

"That's why my mother always said we memorialize our past. Everything seems better in a memory."

You told me I was yours and you were mine

The love of my life was gone.

"Mom, some dude is at the door with pie!" I swallowed, frozen in the doorway. Sneaky little thing.

"Graceland Marie Starr - Shore - Porter - whatever your name is - my life wasn't real without you. It was just a series of days all strung tighter by a bunch of regrets. But then I got your back. This is the right time, I love you Grace. I've always loved you. I loved you when I wasn't with you, and before that, and right now. Marry me?"
