I have a book hangover from reading this. I may have to reread the original trilogy to keep getting my Panem fix. 

Absolutely worth a read if you like the Hunger Games series, it was interesting to see things in this book which line up as to why Snow hates Katniss so much.

A rat is a rat.
If I tried to forget this was a prequel and read it as a standalone book, I really liked it, but I hate how it changes the interpretation of some of the things that happen in the original trilogy.

read this so I could go into the movie prepared. Slow start, good when the games actually started, then dropped off to a bit of a disappointing ending. All I can say is: fuck snow.
