Wow, finally got this out of the tbr after years of Steph Bohrer recommending it!
Archer's Voice has its problems, the main one being that so much TRAGEDY happens to these two main characters that sometimes it feels like the author just wanted to add some ✨️extra drama✨️ for the sake of it. Still, a good old small town romance book with a twist and well written characters.

Pretty explicit spicy scenes which I’m not totally opposed to in most books but was a bit much in this one. The love story was so intense so fast, but was sweet and I loved archer. The “villain” of the story was a bit over the top.
One part I’m not the most qualified to speak on but their communication via sign language felt too easy to me. I’m not fluent but some of the stuff they said back and forth I just couldn’t picture how they would say that in sign, especially if they were using correct asl “grammar”. Also think it would be hard to learn asl without being able to practice with other people or be involved in the deaf community but I guess Archer is just a genius and just magically masters everything

DNF at 31%.. I had a hard time connecting with the characters and Travis I thought was very disrespectful and just wants Bree for sex. Like come on now…. Kisses her on the first date and they aren’t even dating and when he picked her up for the date gave them to her. And then Archer keeps giving mixed signals and facial expressions and Bree swears she is already in love with him. Yes Archer is deaf and speaks sign language but I felt like the whole time they were talking they couldn’t open up because either she was nervous or Archer has something up his sleeve and now that she has been warned to be careful of him it’s like yeah no not vibing this and he’s a red flag. All the Hale boys are red flags and it’s very confusing and going from past tense to present and with flashbacks just hard to keep up with. Might try and give this book a second chance but but as of right now I just can’t.
