Bad Hades is the second book in the Rebel Gods series and Autumn and her mates are back for more intense drama, suspense, danger and action. This has incredible world building and steamy scenes. This had my attention and kept me turning the pages.

Bad Hades is book two in Rosemary A. Johns Bad Gods series and continues Autumn’s story with her growing collection of demons, gods, and shifters. This installment focuses on Hades as it seems that someone or something has managed to make him forget what he truly is – the Lord of the Dead. While he stalks Autumn, something is hunting him in an attempt to lay claim. Can Autumn survive the threats that are coming her way and keep all of her men safe?
Bad Hades has its good moments and its meh moments. Hades is quickly introduced at the beginning of the book in a confrontation with Autumn and some of her men. It’s intense, gripping, and had me eagerly page-turning. But then he leaves/disappears and doesn’t come back for almost half the book. There are a couple settling of scores and coming to terms in this book for Autumn, Loki, and Autumn’s sister in this book. I’ll count that as a good thing since it wasn’t really settled in the first book.
I had hoped for more from this book. For me, it gets stuck in minor shifts of scene – from the forest back into the tree that they call home/sanctuary. I felt that some more “domestic” scenes are simply filler because they don’t really add anything to the storyline or help move it along. I wanted more drama and sooner in this book. When I say that I mean with Hades since he is meant to be the main focus of this particular installment. Then there are the steamy scenes...they were a bit disappointing as well. The author seems to dance around them quite a bit, but with a reverse harem novel I have certain expectations and the scenes are becoming a bit of a miss.
I’m rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. I need more excitement with this book. I want more drama and the story to really capture my attention and keep me page-turning to the very end.
