Dense and inspiring, this sketchbook-style book shows examples of hundreds of textures in pen/ink and watercolor (or one or the other), from natural elements like flowers, fur, rocks, and leaves to still lifes of marbles, tractors and rusty spoons. Detailed images and handwritten notes provide lots of information, though I would have preferred a more step by step for a beginner (though that would have resulted in fewer examples).

Written for use mostly with a Rapidograph pen, a decent introduction to creating textures for water color and some forms of acrylic paintings for those who like a fairly realistic art style.
