Having such high stakes for such young characters made me.. uncomfortable. I wish there had been a loophole in the enchantment rather than simply straightforwardly fulfilling it.

Aside from that it was a perfectly lovely story. The slow burn was torturous, the writing was beautifully flippant, the worldbuilding was complex enough to be fun without overshadowing the romance. I loved the conceit of starting after the adventure, but I came to love the characters so much that now I want a prequel.

There’s not much happening but the characters make up for it with how amazing they are, I love them all. Also best representation I’ve ever read, bisexual disasters, we stan.
