I found this difficult to get into.

Once the story and the background chapters meshed it became almost un-put-downable but i found some of the concepts and ideas difficult to get my head around.

I like to think that I'm a reader who likes to get thrown into the middle of a story and have to piece that parts together, but it just did not work for me here.
