I enjoyed this up until Michael turns up and Miss Pettigrew likes him because he's awful in a different way to Nick (she hates Nick because he's possessive, rude, probably violent and possibly has some Italian blood in him; she loves Michael because he's possessive, rude, punishes Miss LaFosse for her bad behaviour by shaking her and believes he is the right man to be meting out "a little physical correction", and because he's English). The overt racism and antisemitism is a shock in the middle of an otherwise mad cap tale.
Moderate: Infidelity, Misogyny, Racial slurs, Racism, Sexism, Toxic relationship, Antisemitism, and Alcohol
Minor: Emotional abuse and Fatphobia
