This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions in this gripping third installment of the Flesh and Fire series. From the very start, I was hooked, eager to unravel the complexities of Sera's world. Armentrout's storytelling prowess shines as she weaves a tale filled with shocking betrayals, heart-wrenching moments, and unexpected twists. Sera's strength and resilience amidst adversity resonated deeply with me, making her a truly compelling protagonist. While some parts felt a bit slow, the intricate plot and character development kept me engaged. The book's emotional depth and the profound connection between the characters made it an unforgettable read. The audiobook, narrated by Stina Nelson, added another layer of depth, bringing the characters to life in a truly immersive way. I highly recommend this book to fans of the series, and I can't wait to see how Armentrout concludes this epic saga in the final installment.

If the two main characters hadn’t been imprisoned for over 300 pages, this would have probably been a 5 star.
That being said, the use of their imprisonment to uncover the lore  of the main villain was very well done. It could easily have been depressing and tedious but instead it was suspenseful and compelling.
I finished this book on my lunch break and found myself at barnes and noble after work, picking up the next one in the series.

I think my favourite in the series so far!!

I know it was a terrible experience for Sera but I enjoyed reading about her and Kolis. Getting a more in depth perspective on what makes Kolis who he is was interesting, I even felt sadness and sympathy for him.

And my god Ash and Sera... I literally cried. Hard. At the end reading about them.

The ending while emotional wasn't crazy like the previous books however still keen to find out how the story goes

This book dragged on for way to long. Kolis was quite annoying and we barely saw much of ash. About 60% of this book was sera captured which is why my rating is so low. It did not need to be that long. I don’t know if I’ll be reading the last book
