Violette Leduc always gets the shitty end of the stick. I do too. So what.

Leduc’s writing is transcendent. She takes the quotidian and makes it shower with sparks, scintillating and scorching us, her dear readers. What I found most fascinating is how the details of her life are by and large uninteresting, and she openly admits it, but the way in which she does and tells us her life cannot but have you hanging on her every word.
