I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I swapped between listening to the audiobook and reading a ohysical copy, but I'd definitely benefit from reading it completely.

This is a wonderful character exploration that included so many difficulties at the time. The writing was beautiful and the characters were written brilliantly. It was sad but hopeful and I loved almost all of it.

The part I struggled eith was the ableism. Part of that is due to context of the time it was written but it did get a bit much towards the end.

I loved this book. There was an element of mystery to it and upon finding out a certain secret, I had to say it was pretty surprising. Jane path is clear and I was glad to see how she kept her integrity intact. I love how she speaks her mind. Jane is a character I won't soon forget.
