As the author himself said, finished in a hurry and so not a good close up.
But well, the first book was pretty good.

The Interdependency is least favorite to me of all Scalzi's series. Mostly because it feels pale compared to some of my other favorites - both regarding humor and character's complexity. The ending was also mediocre.
But my fangirl failed expectations aside, The Last Emperox was a nice piece of science fiction...

Loved it. Fun twists, a real page turner of a plot, and just a delightful end to the trilogy. I wish I could immediately pick up another book and dive right back into this world.

This took me way too long to get through - and for no good reason. There are a lot of twists and turns as the trilogy wraps up, many of them very satisfying and some less so. I feel like I still wanted more at the end, but that the ending was still good.

- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I had no idea how Scalzi would even begin to wrap up this trilogy— he’d created such a sprawling problem that I figured finishing this trilogy would be near impossible to do (at least, in a satisfying way).
This one is a bit slow to get going, but once it does, you can’t stop. I am sorry this is finished, but look forward to what he creates next.
And Kiva Lagos is still one of my all-time fucking favorites.

This was a very satisfying ending to The Interdependency series about a space empire who's whole society is based on a quick interstellar transport system which is falling apart. It's all political maneuvering and smart people outsmarting each other, and presents a lovely fantasy of a world in which someone in a position of privilege uses their power to do the right thing during an existential crisis.
