Smut is 5/5. Morgan plot and the lack of communication was unnecessary and frustrating.

This was better and worse than the first one in many ways. And while the other one left me like, wtf?, this one left me heartbroken. I give it the same rating thou.
I wasn't expecting all this bs in the plot, 'cause holy shit, wtf?
I feel like this book needs more discussion but I don't feel like it.

Review from first re-read: This book didn't quite hit the same as American Queen; I loved it but something about being in Embry's head most of the time makes it a wee bit less fun.

The consensual non-consent scene is fantastic and it actually felt like an incredible power move. The fact that we got the scene from both sides definitely added to it's power.

My heart hurts so much for everything that Embry goes through in this book even if he does end the book on a somewhat dickish note!

Rating on first read: 4.75⭐
