I chuckled all the way through Radio Sunrise. The prose sparkled and I really felt for the hapless main character Ifiok (despite laughing at him a lot). Amid the humour it really spoke to many of Nigeria's intractable social and political problems, as any good satire should. My only criticism is that the book felt a bit short - it ended rather abruptly. That's arguably the nature of a story like this, a tale of problems that can't be overcome. But even with Ifiok's helplessness, I felt that the plot could have wound on for longer with more twists and turns.
