Sammy is awesome. She has her own set of problems (sneakily living with her grandmother in a senior-only apartment, family issues), regular junior high problems (boys, crushes?, a nemesis) but she always takes the time to grapple with bigger issues. What is art? How about love? She has friends from all over and she has a metric ton of initiative.

I don't remember much about this one expect it has a twist ending where you find out it was the artist that was stealing her own paintings all along? also gram starts dating sammies old man friend (Winston??)
