The change in POV gave various perspectives of women fighting for their place in the 1930s, whether in battling racial equality or maneuvering acceptance in society. It was a good story, but I was expecting more of a focus on the Berlin Olympics and the race to overcome the adversity that was present in the 1936 Olympics. This book played more like an episodic TV show leading up to Berlin, but you're going to have to learn every character's backstory first.

⭐️ DNF at 38%. I really wanted to like this book, but it absolutely did not need to be 500+ pages, would have benefited from much tighter editing.
