This book was the end of a major character arc for Kealin, and the beginning of a new journey. His personal growth was admirable, as he faced so much pain, and bullshit. But he also faces a lot of promise, which gives me hope for his future. The ending was really bittersweet for me, and I'm a mix of emotion. (I was expecting a bit more death to be honest. ha.) As always the characters have many layers much like ogres and onions, and the battle scenes are killer.
