Growing up, I was a big fan of the Spice Girls. But as a teenager, I didn't quite see them as human beings with their own series of problems. Instead, I saw young women on top of the world. Of course, I am much older now and my perspectives have changed. Reading this book was an eye-opener. As I have recently discovered truths about my own past this year, it was comforting to find that even someone as vibrant as Scary Spice (Mel B) could at times find herself in the company of toxic individuals.

Thank you for sharing your story, Melanie!

Wow, Ms. Melanie Brown has really been through it all. I'm so glad to know that her friendship with the other Spice Girls was and is real. It's sad that her romantic relationship with Eddie Murphy never worked out like she wanted it to, but at least he and his mother have a good relationship with Mel and Eddie's daughter Angel. Mel B is clever, funny, brave, inspirational, and yes, brutally honest in her no-holds-barred memoir. I hope she and her three wonderful daughters have a wonderful life in their next chapter. I will never think less of her just because she's struggled with substance abuse and her marriages didn't work out. It happens to a lot of people, but most people don't handle it with Mel B's grace.

Maybe we should rename Mel B to "Strong Spice"

The title sums it up - she is brutally honest about absolutely everything in her life.

Some parts of the book are dark and shocking, and it really opens your eyes to how abuse can happen to absolutely anyone. We perceive Melanie as this strong, independent woman that takes absolutely no BS from anyone or anything. It's strange because even though she is very much a victim, she never actually (from what I can remember) refers to herself as one.

For her to keep so strong and keep going and going despite everything - she is one strong woman.

This story will help so many people - and so many people will be able to relate to her story.
