Oh, but how I adored Teo and Jack and their story. From strangers arranging for a hookup to flirty friends with benefits to fake boyfriends, theirs wasn't your ordinary love story, but then, Lucy Lennox isn't known for ordinary. There are countless romance reads out there that have one person in love with their best friend, but this is so not a friends-to-lovers story--well, as far as Teo and Chris go. I felt that Teo deserved so much better than Chris, and there were numerous times where I wished the former were a real person so I could give him a good talking to. Teo was sweet and had this sincerity to him that had me wanting to offer him an endless supply of hugs. His interactions with Chris's grandfather put such a smile on my face. Then there's Jack, and if I'm being totally honest, I was a tad wary about him, especially since he was very upfront about his commitment issues. But goodness, the man was an absolute sweetheart, and he was exactly what Teo needed--and vice-versa!--even though it took a while for them to realize it. As for Chris, well, let's just say I'm still iffy about him, though if Lennox decides to give him an HEA, I'd so read it. But all my stars are dedicated to Teo and Jack and the awesomeness that is Virgin Flyer. ♥

Greek trivia and skydiving has never been funner

I love Lucy's books and this one was wonderful! Teo and Jack are the perfect couple without realizing it. Unrequited young love can be painful, but when you realize you are in love with your new best friend...that is beautiful. Teo and Jack's story gave me plenty of laughter, tears, and smiles.

I’ve had Virgin Flyer sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read for a LONG time now and I don’t know why it took me so long to dive in!

Teodor (Teo) Parisi is in love with his best friend Chris and has spent years waiting for him to be ready to finally be together. Teo is a natural caregiver for his friends and for his patients at his job as a nurse - he cares so much about everyone around him. He’s never had a boyfriend and is still a virgin, something he’s really self conscious about and decides to take matters into his own hands, placing an ad for a silent hookup, an ad Jack Snyder can’t resist answering. Jack is a commercial airline pilot so hookups are his go-to when he’s on the road. He’s ambitious and working his way up the ranks but feels a pull toward his hometown and his family that he can’t deny. Even though hookups are his usual, there’s something about his night with Teo that makes him want more.

Teo and Jack’s relationship was so much fun to read - their initial hookup was the perfect amount of spicy and their second meeting ended up being adorable. I really enjoyed these two together; their easy chemistry and natural openness with each other just felt right. Even when things were fake between them, their real feelings weren’t hidden very well. I do wish they were more communicative with each other throughout - it would have solved a lot of problems earlier before they blew out of proportion. But Teo and Jack were perfect for each other in a way neither of them ever imagined.

As much as I enjoyed this book, I found myself getting annoyed with how much of the story revolved around Chris. I know he was meant to be the point of contention and drama, but it felt so dragged out. Every time I thought we were done with him, he just popped back up. A little less Chris would have gone a long way for me.

Overall I really liked this book - perfect easy read for a day poolside!

This took me way longer to finish than I thought it would.

Although I liked both Teo and Jack I felt that this had too much Chris in it (the best-friend Teo thinks he's in love with).
