Another delight from Nicola Yoon. There is a bit of a magical element here which I won't give away too much, but it is fun, and helps you to understand the main character's cynicism about love a bit more. I appreciate that while the love story is sweet (I mean, this is Yoon's forte after all), the friendships are also true, funny, and empowering. This one reads faster than her other novels--I found it light and fun--so a perfect weekend or evening getaway.

I’ve always had a difficult time understanding love and incorporating it into my life. This book has given me comfort and a new outlook on love. Love is so many things but this book taught me that love is acceptance. It’s accepting the good, the bad, the loss, etc. This was a good read (no pun intended).

another great book by nicola yoon, she doesn't have many books out but she is 100% in my top 3 authors. this book def hit me heavy and called out my avoidant attachment style. i really resonate with evie on so many levels, i also had a very pessimistic view of love and relationships which is something i tried to work on for so long and this book is def one of the aids in that. showing that it isn't always about the end goal but its about the journey, you don't need to be together forever but its important to cherish the time you have now. yes all things come to an end, but that doesn't mean they were for nothing. you learn and grow through all kinds of relationships in life wether it be romantic or platonic, we are all here just for the human experience. don't stop yourself from loving just because of fear. its just a beautiful message i interpreted from the book
