SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

When Genevieve is kidnapped by four mysterious men after she finds them robbing her home, she never expects to fall in love with them.

But the longer she’s with them, the more drawn together they all are. And it turns out they come from a similar background and might just have similar revenge goals.

REVIEW:

This was okay. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely didn’t wow me like Den of Vipers did.

I went into this one expecting it to be more about a group of men who kidnap her after plotting and planning to targeting her specifically for reasons to be revealed. So the whole setup where it was kind of a spur of the moment thing was unexpected. It was alright, but I also thought it made the whole plot lack a specific direction.

I liked the characters though and they were hot together. But I didn’t think the character development was as strong as it could’ve been. We do learn a little bit about each of the guys’ background. But it felt like a lot of information was vague and glossed over. And we never even find out how these four guys even met and started their criminal career together.

Even Genevieve’s background was very vague. We know she has bad experiences as a foster kid. We know she had a bit of a trigger happen when she was first having sex with Booker (possibly from a previous sexual assault?). But why? It seems like there was more to the story, but the whole thing was never brought up again. And who were the mysterious people who helped her to start her business?

There’s just so much background left out and it left the characters feeling a little flat.

Because of that, it really brought down the rating for me.

Also, while the whole Robin Hood thing they have going on is cool and all, there is really no plot. It lacks action and a satisfying larger story other than them ending up together in the end.

Still, the sex was hot. Loved the light m/m interaction. When I say light, I mean it. Like one of them briefly licks another one’s cock while she’s giving the guy a blowjob, and the other instance is one of them caresses another of the guys’ balls during sex. That’s it. Also they do dvp, which definitely causes swords to cross. lol It was hot! Definitely wouldn’t have minded more m/m, but it was still hot that they didn’t mind touching each other during sex, even if it was briefly.

Overall it was okay. A nice read and sexy. But the plot and characters definitely weren’t as rich as I was hoping to see.

This was a fun read. Modern day Robin Hood meets 365, but with RH. This definitely gave off Den of Vipers vibes, which is fine because I enjoyed that one too. The spice in this one started way later than I expected. Which isn’t a big deal, I’m just use to it early on with Knight. I really like all of the guys and Genevieve. The spice was good. The plot was good in areas and okay in others. The whole them being thieves I felt could have had a better back story, the they all had hard lives I felt was a cop out and easy. Also the part up until she decided to stay felt long and drawn out. Once they let her in and become a part of everything is when it felt like the story really started and that’s when I really started to enjoy it! The narration was great and told in Dual POV, with all 4 characters.

Reverse Harem / Why choose
4 males, 1 female... no MM

FMC came from nothing and had a dream to make something of herself but remain humble always give back to the less fortunate.
She never forgot where she came from...
HOWEVER her boyfriend is utter crap. Cheating on her was not enough, nah he sold her out to a group of men to rob her blind.
Problem is that she came home and caught them, they panic and steal her instead hoping to get a fat ransom for her.
But what they win is each other's love.

It’s very rare to find a standalone RH but this was just that and very well done. I loved the mystery of who was really behind everything and how each of the guys past lives molded their place in the family. But Genevieve had a little bit of each of them in herself as well. She was definitely so much more than what you see. Modern day poly Robinhood with a twist!!!

Genevieve, Archer, Gage, Booker, and Eric. Genevieve is what is considered ‘New Money’ in London. She was a street kid who came up with an idea for coffe shops for women. She is engaged to Chaz, when at her charity event, she witnesses him in the act with another woman. Upset, she takes off home and discovers men in her apartment, and they decide to take her captive. When being held captive, she starts to her captors even though she shouldn’t. When she gets the opportunity to make a phone call she does. This leads to her discovering some new information about Chaz and the guys.

I really like this audiobook/kindle read. It was entertaining to say the least especially the different personalities of her and the guys. I liked the relationship between them. The spice was HOT and i just enjoyed the concept of the story. The narration was really good. Rebecca and Will did an amazing job bringing this story to life for me. I probably enjoyed it more because of the audiobook. Something about audiobooks just do it for me sometimes.
