A thrill simply for the unabashed and harsh look it gives into the true bleak mindset of a typical Russian male of Dostoyevsky's time, this classic also happens to delve deep into existential crisis at the same time.

I only read The Double in this; I have Notes from the Underground in another compilation of Dostoyevsky's works. It was a very confusing story, and I'm still not sure I completely get it. Maybe if I re-read it someday it will be able to make some sense of it.
