This book had a touch of everything and I loved it. It was a rip-roaring plot, fabulous character development and a really great mystery that seemed to be one thing but masqueraded as something else. Just brilliant. I had a rare time reading this book and I’d like to look at more that the author has released!

The overall atmosphere and vibes were very good! It was creepy and eerie and I just loved the whole setting. I had some trouble following the different POVs and time stamps and I think it's because the characters really lacked in depth for me. I enjoyed Luna's story line the most and still remember parts of it but I already forgot every other person this book was about. I really can't remember. Without spoiling the ending I just was disappointed with the outcome. The plot twist/ending made sense but for me something was missing. I ended the book and was like "ok.". 

It is definitely not a bad book, but it didn't grab me as much as I would have liked it. 

Last but not least: the note of the author at the end was very interesting and I enjoyed this a lot and I will definitely want to read more about the witches of Scotland.

Not something I'd usually pick up. Loved the descriptions of the Scottish landscape and the references to folklore. Did get a bit confusing at times but overall a really enjoyable read!

My perfect October / November read. For someone who doesn't like horror or being scared, the creepy vibes were spot on. At the same time, the folkloric focus of the book felt intimate and cozy. I didn't expect this book to make me sob the way it did, but I think having Taylor Swift's Folklore: Long Pond Studio Sessions only heightened all my feelings. Definitely helped me get out of a small reading slump !

what I didn't understand was why Clover was "evil" when she's found. what are her motivations for wanting to flood the house and kill her stuffed animal ? "just" because of her trauma ? but since she time travelled, her trauma comes from walking alone in the woods I guess ?
