3 stars - I liked it
This volume continues the flashback with the Band of Hawks. An assassination attempt on Griffith leads to Guts being sent on an assassination job that ends up with innocents dead. Then we jump to another battle for the king and Guts and Casca getting pushed off a cliff and finally having a conversation. We get a little bit of Casca’s backstory on why she became a mercenary.
Griffith continues to be a pretty boy who is cleary shady as fuck. I am very interested in seeing how he ends up betraying Guts. Also it's about time Guts and Casca had an actual conversation.
TW: death of a child; attempted rape
Graphic: Child death
