I loved this! I’ve always loved Alice in Wonderland and I love that when they’re trying to figure out the story, one of them reminds the group that the movie and book are often different. Oh, that was so good. And I loved that Alice barely even played a part. I don’t know why, but I loved that they instead just figured out wonderland to find Frankie.

Excited for more of these bonus editions!

I won this book in an Instagram giveaway hosted by Scholastic, Inc. I normally can't stand to read series out of order but since I won it and it's a children's book I figured it would be okay. This was a cute book and I'm a sucker for fairy tale retellings (although this seems to be the only book in the series that retells a children's book rather than a fairy tale). The over arching story line actually reminds me a lot of the Magic Treehouse books, which I loved growing up, except these focus on fairy tales instead of history (so a bit less educational).

My main complaint about this book is that I think the moral lessons could have been more subtle. I tend to find that children are less receptive to ideas that are shoved down their throat. I would have preferred for the children to be allowed to come to the lesson on their own. I guess that's not really unique to this children's book, though. The true test is this: Would I buy this for my nieces? Yeah, i'm honestly considering getting them the first book in the series to see how they like it.

Cute, but not my favorite. I missed having Jonah in the story. Glad to learn more about Maryrose & am curious how Penny will play into this.

We didn't finish this book. The dynamic between Abby and Penny was really annoying and caused my son to lose all interest.
