I wish it talked more about what happened to the other survivors, and to the families of those who did not make it back. 

Narrator is sometimes overly dramatic.

Be prepared: the first half of this book is an inspiring and education tale of men who survive arctic conditions and go on great adventures. The second half is a gruesome description of death after death after death. Too gruesome for me.
