An important read about love, our society, and how we treat/should treat our citizens.

I could not put this book down. I primarily read fiction and accidentally ran across this nonfiction (I didn't know it was nonfiction until I started reading it). It has been a very long time since any book has been this gripping!

3.5/5.
Once again the prison system has failed so many, including those mentally ill. I had never heard of Huntington’s Disease until this book, and coincidentally, another book I read this week mentioned it as well. What a horrible disease.

This book could've been cut in half without all his nonsense about random things.

I gave this 4 starts instead of 5 because of the poor narration. Don't listen to the audio version. The narration was very distracting and I almost gave up on the book because of it. Authors should not narrate their own books!
